La Commissione europea ha adottato l’11 dicembre 2025 il nuovo Work Programme 2026-2027 del Cluster Salute di Horizon Europe.
Il documento definisce contenuti, calendario e dotazioni finanziarie dei bandi che guideranno la ricerca sanitaria europea nel prossimo biennio.
Il programma intende colmare gap ancora aperti e preparare l’Unione alle sfide emergenti, in coerenza con le priorità politiche europee 2024-2029.La direttrice è chiara: rafforzare resilienza sanitaria, competitività industriale e sovranità tecnologica attraverso investimenti in Intelligenza Artificiale, biotecnologie e sistemi sanitari innovativi.
Le priorità 2026-2027
Il piano si articola su sette assi strategici:
- Leadership nelle Scienze della Vita per rendere l’UE polo globale attrattivo entro il 2030.
- Contrasto alle malattie non trasmissibili, con attenzione a salute mentale e patologie cardiovascolari.
- Salute e ambiente con azioni su clima, inquinamento e biodiversità.
- Preparazione alle pandemie e AMR, per rafforzare la risposta alle emergenze sanitarie.
- Innovazione dei sistemi sanitari, orientata a efficienza, equità e sostenibilità.
- Digitalizzazione e dati sanitari, in sinergia con lo Spazio Europeo dei Dati Sanitari.
- Sovranità tecnologica, con sviluppo di strumenti critici e tecnologie avanzate.

Il nuovo Work Programme offre un quadro operativo chiaro per università, centri di ricerca, imprese e partenariati europei.
Il biennio 2026-2027 si configura così come un passaggio cruciale per rafforzare l’ecosistema sanitario europeo, sostenendo ricerca avanzata, innovazione industriale e capacità di risposta sistemica.
